• Ever since I switched servers, my blog doubles every post, even the title of the blog, and doubles even the whole blog (which already consists of double posts)

Switching on or off the only plugin I was using (textile) has no affect. A different blog, which uses the very same database (with different table prefixes) is working completely fine.

upgrading to WP 2.2 and then to 2.3 has had no affect on the situation.

  • You had to delete every files before upgrading to 2.3!

    err no you didn’t – http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress

    1. Get the latest WordPress (http://wordpress.org/download/). Either download and extract it to your computer or download it directly to the server.
    2. Copy the new files to your server, overwriting old files. You may use FTP or shell commands to do so.

Doubling the post? You’ve not got something silly in your index.php where its posting the_content() twice have you?

When you say double the blog – do you mean every thing? Images included? 2x header, 2x footer, etc?

How about using a different theme – does it occur then? That would rule out your index.php etc.

    ah HA!

    thanks yeleek…

it was in fact, the custom theme i’d cobbled together … as far as i can tell… at any rate, it works now with the classic theme now…

Yeah i’d check contents of your php files then, i suspect you are calling the_content twice. Take a look at the documentation in the codex re the loop.

    Glad its not more serious.

    check this posts tags, please?

Tags are now family safe again.
