  • i really love it, been receiving updates too.

Don’t apologize for not trying to look like a blog. I’ve been a music writer for nearly twenty years, and a big part of the reason why I’m still in business is because I’m not afraid of doing what it takes to STAY in business! Ten years ago, that meant saying goodbye to print publications and three-month lead times because the Internet had arrived. I learned what I had to about publishing online, and I’ve run my own music site ever since.

The ascendancy of the blogosphere in general, and of MySpace and YouTube in particular, did not escape my notice. I saw blogging as being a lot more “personal” than online music journalism, of course. But I couldn’t ignore the potential of being able to instantly post stories, instantly archive them, and include videos. About 18 months ago, I began looking into “bloggifying” my Web site–not turning it INTO a blog, but incorporating the advantages that blogs offer. After a little trial and error, I hit the jackpot at WordPress!

Your web site is exactly what it needs to be–breezy, snarky, brightly-lit, and very appetizing. If WordPress helped you achieve that, great! Don’t feel guilty because so many of of its customers use it for chronicling their personal journeys through life!
