Creating an archive using the offset query?

I’m looking to create an archive that displays three rows of six thumbnails per page, I know there’s a post query called offset which should be able to do this, but I’m really stuck about implementing it. Would I need to create a new shortcode for each page of the archive? I’m sure I’m over complicating it, so if there’s an easier way of doing this, please let me know. My current archive can be found at samplraudio.com so you can see what I mean.
