    Hi TalkLeft,

Could you give me a link to a page with an example please?

It’ll most likely be CSS from your theme that is doing it, I’ll take a look and try and work a fix into the next release for you.

    Thanks,
    David

    Hi TalkLeft,

I discovered the problem, some themes are set to display images vertically using the CSS attribute

    display: block

I have added a blank display attribute to the code in Simple Share Buttons Adder now, so if you download and install the latest update it should rectify the problem for you.

Please do let me know if the problem persists.

    Thanks,
    David

David, thank you so much. The latest update fixed the problem. The only issue now is that the Pinterest button says no pictures are available, but in other share button programs, when I click the pinterest button, they show just fine.

I really like the plug-in, and appreciate your quick response.

I didn’t post the site name because it’s an old one I am in the process of re-modeling and am not quite ready for it to be highly visible.

    Hi TalkLeft,

I’m glad to hear that the update resolved the issue for you.

Can you please email me a link to the page that you are experiencing trouble with the Pinterest button? I’d like to see if there’s anything that can be done – me@davidsneal.co.uk It seems to be working ok for me.

    Thanks,
    David

    Hi kfable,

Which version of the plugin are you using?

Could you provide a link please so that I can see?

    Thanks,

    Hi David!

I’m using version 1.0.2 + I’m also having the same issue w/ the icons only showing in a vertical line (instead of horizontal) at the bottom of all my posts.

I did however realize that when I deactivated the Pinterest Pin It Button / Plugin, they re-aligned horizontally again.

Is there any way to keep my Pin It Plugin + have this work too?

Pin It Plugin here (I have it deactivated though): http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/pinterest-pin-it-button-for-images/

    Example here: http://69.195.124.69/~glamorga/diy-beauty-homemade-body-butter/

    Thanks! πŸ™‚

    Hi!

Unfortunately the two plugins do seem to clash, the Pinterest Pin it plugin is very overpowering where images are concerned.

I shall do some research when I get the chance, and do my best to incorporate something into the next release.

    I’ll keep you updated!

    Thanks,

    David

    Hi TheGG,

I’ve been playing with Simple Share Buttons and the Pinterest plugin together and have found 2 solutions!

Solution one, unfortunately I cannot release until I have finished my current development. All share buttons images will have the class attribute – ‘ssba’, so you will be able to use the ‘exclude classes’ feature offered by the pinterest plugin.

For now, there is another solution that you could go for – the Selected images only feature – you’d need to add the class ‘pinthis’ to all those images that you wish to make ‘pinnable’.

Really though, these share button images shouldn’t be picked up by the Pinterest plugin at all. The minimum size of a pinnable image is 81px squared – http://pinterest.com/pin/56224695318345544/ so ideally these images should not be picked up by the plugin at all.

I’d say it’s worth raising with the plugin author in their support forum as it should be addressed really.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks,

    David

    Hi David!

Thank you so much for your quick response! πŸ™‚

I left 2 messages on their support forum, but haven’t gotten a response yet.

I think I’m just going to leave the Pin It Button deactivated until you release an update, as I have over 150 posts (some have 20 images in a post)… It would take me forever.

I do want to say though, that as someone new to WordPress (from Blogger) – you have the most user-friendly, thorough + customizable Plugin I’ve come across so far! I wish you made them all! Lol.

Thanks for doing what you do David! πŸ™‚

    Hey,

    No problem at all!

I’m hoping to release the next version within a fortnight, but it’s a big one so it needs to be just right!

That is praise indeed, thanks very much! I’m pretty new to WordPress myself but am enjoying it so far!

    I’ll keep you updated πŸ™‚

    Thanks,

    Hi there!

The latest version includes the workaround for your Pinterest plugin!

Each image created by Simple Share Buttons Adder now has the class attribute – ssba. So you can add this to your Pinterest settings to ignore them and they should appear horizontally!

Let me know how you get on πŸ™‚

    David

    Awesome!

    It worked!

    Brilliant that’s great news!!

Thanks for coming back to let me know.

I’d be really grateful if you could rate the plugin, if there’s anything that makes it not yet worth my of 5 stars please let me know and I’ll do what I can.

    Thanks,

    David
