Pods makes WordPress a Drupal-killer
-
Need multi-variable relationships between multiple sets of content? Done. Need to do a shopping cart with discounts? Done. Need extended user profiles that are integrated with the WordPress user system? Done. A customizable gallery? Lightweight data added on to your posts? How about an advertising system? Done, done and done. You get the idea.
That being said, Pods IS NOT a plugin that you can install, push some buttons, and voila! Be prepared to do at least some basic coding and customization before Pods actually does anything. Pods’ lightweight architecture and simple (but not simplistic) approach to adding datatypes to WordPress is a joy to work with. Basic documentation is quite complete, but if you want to really harness the power of this plugin, you will be coloring outside the lines of the Pods docs. Help from the development team is always near-at-hand through IRC and the site forums.
