WordPress database error fix no longer seems to work.

I’m speaking of the dreaded “WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query” error.

I’ve been using the fix everyone points to for some time now (http://thesocialmediaguide.com/wordpress-blog/solution-for-wordpress-database-error-mysql-server-has-gone-away-for-query#)

but it seems to have stopped working.

I saw the error again in so I checked to my file to see if I maybe forgot to add the fix again, but it is there.

Any new suggestions.
