Trying out new themes

    I set my blog up with a premium theme and had it working quite well.

    I then tried to install and use another (non-premium) theme, because I wanted to try a new look for my site.

    I found that many of my settings using the premium theme were lost, when I reverted back!

    How is this avoided in future?
    And how can I trial multiple themes without losing my settings?

    Off the top of my head I can think of two different ways: Live preview when you go Appearance > Themes. The second being the plugin: Theme Test Drive.
