• Hi,

I’ve just updated to the latest version of the plugin and had to set up a new app in Twitter. Having followed all the instructions I get the following error message when Twitter is redirecting back to the plugin setting page after authorising the app:

“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page”

All the settings are correct. When I click on the ‘Authorize New Account’ button I get redirected to Twitter, I then click on ‘Authorize App’ and then the error happens once I’m redirected back to the plugin settings page.

Please advise how to fix this. Thanks!

    Kyle

  • Am also getting the same error upon redirect back to WP Admin panel.

I haven’t seen this issue. Try disabling other plugins and try again. Maybe another plugin is causing some kind of conflict? If you can access the page with the authorization button that sends you to Twitter, then you should be able access the page it redirects you back to (it’s the SAME page with a success message on it).

Thanks for the input Aaron. You were on the money. Having disable most of my other (30+ plugins) the authorization process went fine. I disabled them all at once though so can’t give any input as to which one caused the problem.

    Cheers, Kyle

kylen20: If you don’t mind making a list of those plugins here, I could use it to cross-reference with other people having similar issues. Maybe we could eventually figure out where the conflict lies!

Hi, I was having the same issue, after clicking on the authorisation button on the Twitter page, I got redirected to the Google Analytics settings page. I dissabled the Google Analytics plugin and the Twitter Widget Pro plugin is now working.

Btw, thanks for the great plugin Aaron.
