I will be glad to help but need a starting point. Could you provide me access to your blog and give me instructions of how to replicate the issue?
My email is theshadowsdweller[at]gmail[dot]com
Just sent you credentials… I haven’t tried all the pics, but have a specific problem with one, called 5nzow9dc0gebkwisldifa.jpg, trying to rename it. You will find it on 5th place in the Media Libraty. 🙂
Thanks!
I don’t have access to your FTP but the error says that the size files do not exist, which is true as I checked on your server.
I will fix the plugin so it does not throw an error for this, as it is kind of pointless.
In the meantime you could try downloading the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin which will recreate those size files for you, and Media Rename should work.

Has this issue been fixed as of 03-23-13. I am getting the same error message. Thanks, Bill

Forgot to tell you I am using ver 3,1.1
Just tried it out and it seems so work! Together with the regenerate thumbnails plugin all is good & dandy!
@artmanphoto, it is fixed as of version 3.1.2, which has been released yesterday.
ShadowsDweller –
Thank you for your answer. One more question please – my web designer installed version 3.1.1 into my WorkPress Admin. I have only tried to use the plug in to rename one file and I got the Size File Removing Error. If I tell them to upgrade to version 3.1.2 do I also have to do the regenerate thumbnails plugin too.
I don’t want to mess anything up. Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it.
Bill
No, once you install version 3.1.2, you won’t need the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, at least not for media renaming 🙂
Thank you for the clarification. Have a great day.
