Need help understanding this single line of Code please

    Hey all,
    I came across this line of code and I’m trying to understand how it’s dynamically pulling an image header. I looked up get_post_meta on the WordPress Codex site but was still left a little unclear as to how this works and how it is pulling the right images.

    <img src=”<? echo get_post_meta($post->ID, ‘header’, true) ?>”

    Thanks in advance for any help with this. A simple explanation would be great 🙂

    The code is pulling the image url from the custom field “header”.
    The contents of the field maybe specified in the edit/create post screen under custom fields.

    I went into the backend of the website and it seems as though the custom fields were removed from the CMS. Could you give me an idea of where these custom fields might be.

    I checked the screen options and the ‘show custom fields’ is checked.
