  • I need more info.
Are you referring to a Quick Redirect or a regular redirect (set up on a page or post)? If you are referring to a Quick Redirect, those will not open in a new window at this time (as stated on the Quick Redirects page) because in order for those to open in a new window, they need to be clicked and there needs to be some form of javascript/jQuery function to add the target to a link. We disabled the jQuery functions due to a high volume of conflicts with other functions, so until that is resolved, the new window/no follow functionality will not work with Quick Redirects.

    thank you for your help!

Ok – I got that now.
My next question is how are you calling your menus? are you using the New WP Menus to create them or does your theme use an older menu call?

If you are using the NEW WP Menu structure, it should work ok as long as you are not using a custom walker class for your menus. If you are using custom created menu call (or have the menus hard-coded) then the plugin will probably not work as it needs to call from the WP Menus action wheich actually adds the target="_blank" and rel="nofollow" attributes/properties to the links anchor tag.

If you want to send me a copy of the theme files, I can look at them for you, see how they are called and give you a solution. Otherwise I can’t really help. Send to plugins@fischercreativemedia.com and reference the Plugin Name and the issue.

One last thing – if you happen to be using the WP Menus and it does not work because of a custom walker, etc., you could always just set the target on the menu item itself in the WP menu editor (you will need to make sure you can see it first by checking them in the screen options for that menu editing page – see here for instructions on how to do this).
