Support » Plugin: SuperCPT » Looks to be everything it promises to be.

  • Best thing of all, it doesn’t expose the interface to meddling users – and keeps it all in the code – makes me feel like a developer again!

Paired up with posts 2 posts this makes a REAL CMS out of wordpress – good job you guys! I mean, it was a CMS before, none of these things are new, but you made it EASY to accomplish and give a unified interface.
Best thing that could happen now is for the two plugins to merge and offer a single interface and documentation – will reduce duplication that currently exists between the two.

Thanks for checking out the plugin!

SuperCPT currently supports creating one-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many relationships with posts (of any post type, including the current one) using the ‘data’ attribute in a field. I plan on enhancing this functionality in the future to make the UI a little more powerful, but for now, it’s all there and works.

If you weren’t aware of this, Happy Birthday! Otherwise, is there anything about Posts 2 Posts that you’d like to see in this plugin?

Hi Matthew, and thanks for a great plugin!
I was aware that I can link to data, but not that it was capable of “creating” the relationship beyond adding it as a meta field.

If you want people to be aware of this excellent feature, you need to write a bit more documentation regarding this – and explain how to create the various relationships, and more important how to access them from all the directions.

Also I like the dropdown/select lists, but they will not support large numbers of posts – in this resepect I would love to see something like the interface Posts 2 Posts supplies (with the search and delete relationship button).

Otherwise (as you already announce that the UI improvements are in the pipe) – there is nothing special that Posts 2 Posts provides that I need – I only needed the relationship management – and you have it.

It would be a good idea to check out the “engine” underneath that plugin, just to make sure that your not missing any performance issues.

    Again, thank you!

Oh yeah, one feature I’d really like, ability to set order to connected posts/types/taxonomies
