Thanks for reporting the issue. Is it the NextGEN Gallery plugin that has created this taxonomy type? And do you have a link to your sitemap so I can see the resulting output?
I’ll have to test…

Hi RavanH,
I have a NextGEN Gallery running so I suppose it’s where the taxonomy is being created. The sitemap can be found here: http://www.sandra-ficht.de/sitemap.xml – I included the pictures again. Thank you!
OK, I see what is causing the error there…
Is there in the list of “Include Post Types” on Settings > Reading a post type called NG Gallery (or something) visible? If so, could you check that one for a day so I can take a look at that sitemap; if not, please tell me 🙂

No there’s no such post type. All I have is posts (correct number), pages (correct number), media (0) and 1 wysija page which is my newsletter component.
OK, so the nggallery post type is a non-public one… Showing a sitemap for a taxonomy that is related to a non-public post type is pointless. You better disable it 🙂
Would you mind testing the current development version of my plugin? It should no longer present taxonomies that are related to non-public post types as an option. You can download the zip from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/xml-sitemap-feed/developers/ under Other Versions. Then unsintall the current version from your site and use the WordPress installer (choose upload) and install the zip package.
Then check the Settings > Reading page again to see if the picture tags are still listed. You can ignore the new ‘Split by’ option as it is not functional yet.
Please let me know if the picture tags are still listed under ‘Include taxonomies’ as an option. Thanks 🙂

Thanks RavanH. I installed the development version and it stills gives me the option to include picture tags (it states the number 145 for me). However, I don’t find that “split by” option you mentioned so might there be something wrong with my uninstall/install process?
Yes, it seems you are still running the current stable version 4.0.1 … Did uninstall first and then install the development version zip package?

RavanH, sorry I didn’t get back to you earlier. I somehow didn’t get a notification about your reply and was quite busy anyway. Well, I thought I had uninstalled and installed everything correctly but I apparently made a mistake. However, I repeated the procedure and am now getting the effect you described. No picture tags anymore and some new functions you mentioned. Will see what Google thinks about it and report back. Thanks a lot so far for your support!
