  • I’d say you probably have to look at maybe displaying their first name or nickname alone. i.e. use a different function: http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/the_author

If you’re using the default WP skin, the members’ emails doesn’t show up at all. If you have comment_author_email() or comment_author_email_link() in your comments template file, try to remove them and then the commenters’ email will disappear.

    Thanks! it solved the problem.

What about hiding the email address in the comment reply notification email?

If you hide your commenter’s email address in those, then your authors won’t be able to reply directly to them.

HOw do I protect the email address of people who comment on my blog if I am not using the default theme? Why arn’t email addresses protected by default? I am using 1blogtheme and this resolution does not solve the problem, if someone comments on my blog there email address is spammer food.
