Can't access WP dashboard – receive 404 error

    I installed WordPress through Go Daddy’s automated install to a subdomain (because I already have a live website using a different application and want to create the new WP site before switching over). After the install, I am not able to access the dashboard or any type of WP login page. When I enter the URL I receive a 404 error. Any ideas?
