I tried the Facebook Like Button plugin, and found that while it allowed me to “share” a link to the (non-facebook) page on my facebook page, allowing me to add a comment, it did not place a “like” under my “Likes” on my facebook page. It showed up under “Likes Recently”, but not the “Likes” above, if you know what I mean. Is this something your plugin should be able to do, but I’m just not configuring it correctly?

I want it to work like the one on this page: http://turnerphotographics.com/portraits/senior/
This one both puts an entry with the link and comment in the timeline, but also puts a thumbnail under “Likes”

It would also be nice if I could choose a thumbnail as well.

    Hello terry777,

No, our plugin works in this way: only Facebook pages will be displayed under likes. And likes of our plugin will be displayed in the Likes
    Recently.

This is a little confusing to me too.. can you explain where the “Like” shows up on Facebook when you like a post on my wordpress site?
    Thank you

It took me awhile, but I think I finally figured this one out. When you put a like button on a page and the code generates a like for that page, rather than a facebook page, it shows up in the facebook timeline, but does NOT increment the number of “likes” for the facebook page. It is only when a like button “points to” a facebook page that the number increments. So, when generating “like button” code on facebook’s support area, you have to supply a url to “like”. If you specify a facebook page (but put the code on any page, wordpress or not), when the user presses the “like” button, it generates both a post on the liked facebook page, and increments the facebook page’s counter. If it’s a non-facebook page the code is generated for, only the post appears on the facebook page, and the number of likes on the facebook page does not increment, and the number that appears on the wordpress page next to the like button has no correlation to the number of likes on the facebook page. I think the same is true if the code is generated by a plugin.
Uh, I’m not sure that clarifies, but I’m hoping it does.

    Hello terry777,

You can find it in the Activity Log on Facebook.

Are you talking about the Activity Log of the person who clicks the “Like” button, or the Activity Log of the facebook page of the page on which the “Like” button appears? or both?

Not sure if I am posting in the right area? I apologize if I am not!

I love the facebook “like” app-plugin, very easy!

…Just one thing, I want to have the “like” button after each individual blog post my user make, automatic so i don’t have to do this every time, anyway to do this?

please step by step for me, new at this! im on wp 3.6

    Please email me at livewellforme@yahoo.com

    Thank you Monica 🙂

    Hello terry777,

We are talking about your Activity Log.
You click – and everything will be displayed in the Activity Log. Other users can’t see it.

Where you talking to me, because that made no scene to me! 🙁
