I tested out the plugin but is didn’t work for what I wanted. It’s well made but could use some options. I started using manual related posts because I can choose what related posts I want displayed instead of it being chosen for me.
If YARRP added that I would use it, as manual related post does not offer suggestions like YARRP does

Please note that there are additional options which are hidden by default. Go to the “screen options” tab in the options screen to see them.

I have all of the options open but it does not have what I am looking for. What I’m looking for is for a number of related posts to be shown while in the edit post area, and to be able to manually select what ones to show based on the list that the plugin generates.

Manual selection of related posts is really not what this plugin is about. In that case, I suggest you try https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/microkids-related-posts/
