OK, I found the .pot file and I translated the “Read more” text.
But now, how should I name the file?
I just named it es_ES.pot and placed it in the “language” folder but it did not work.

Also checking the “Hide “Read more” links?” check box did not have any effect.

Did you actually read and do the steps for FAQ 31, number 1?

    Did you do define('WPLANG', 'es_ES'); in wp-config.php?

    Thread Starter Michael Schramm

    (@misch)

    Yes and yes.
    I did “Create a localized YOUR_WPLANG.mo file from languages/testimonials-widget.pot.”
But I am guessing “YOUR_WPLANG.mo” is not the filename you really mean.
So what I did is create the .mo file, name it es_ES.mo and I place it in /wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget-premium/languages/
I can not place it in /wp-content/languages because I would overwrite the es_ES.mo file which is already there.

And of course I set ‘WPLANG’, ‘es_ES’); in wp-config.php. Otherwise my web site would not appear in spanish, right?
    😉

I’m having translation issues as well.

If you’re running a single language website, you can use filters to translate the “Read more” and “Next testimonial” text.

    See FAQ 2 and 20.

I’m working with another person on including Spanish translations by default with the plugin. They should be ready by Friday. The delay is due to my current cycling vacation in Malaysia.

Ok, I guess then I will wait until Friday.
    Thank you for the answer.

Can you please contact me directly to get a beta copy of premium with the Spanish translations built-in?

    Thank you.

I just sent you my e-mail address via http://aihr.us/contact-aihrus

    OK, something is happening:

On the widget I placed via shortcode [testimonialswidget_widget] on this page http://tuxsc.com/nosotros/ it seems to be working (on the page. The sidebar widget is still in english).
There is just a small translation problem.
The translation file is missing an “a”:
    “Leer más”
So it reads: “Leer m’s” instead of “Leer más”.

I corrected that and copied the file again to:
    /wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget-premium/languages/
but nothing happened. The error is still there.

Am I copying to the wrong folder?

And BTW can I delete de free plugin now that I am using the premium version?

    Thread Starter Michael Schramm

    (@misch)

Ok, now everything seems to be working fine.
    Was it a cache-thing?
Funny, I did use http://tuxsc.com/?clearcache=1 to clear the cache and it did not work.

    Now everythings OK.

Now just this question is pending:

Can I delete de free plugin now that I am using the premium version?

    Plugin Contributor Michael Cannon

    (@comprock)

Just to verify, all is good?

Don’t delete free plugin. The Premium is an add-on, not a replacement.

Can you please send me the corrected translation files?

    Thread Starter Michael Schramm

    (@misch)

    Yes, of course.
Let me double check them again and I will send them to you tomorrow afternoon.

    (@misch)

Oh, and so far, everything looks great.

Michael, I’ve corrected the translation files. They had HTML in them that shouldn’t have been in them.
