Icons are hosted locally as part of the plugin. Worpdress does not allow remote loading of content. The latest version has updated graphics.
Ok, but why do they sometime show up and sometimes not? I updated.
The graphics in the latest version have different CSS positions than the original. The new code is not compatible with the old graphics, which is why I try and let everyone know to completely deactivate and uninstall any prior versions. For whatever reason, the old graphics do not want to be overwritten when a plugin update is performed through the WordPress Admim. Of course, if anyone has any thoughts on this, I would love to hear them.
Your browser may have the old graphics cached, which is why the sometimes show up and sometimes don’t
Do you have link to your site where you are using it so I can take a look?
I did offer to take a look at your site to see where the issue might be, but you never responded. so it’s obvious there’s no helping out.
BTW, Facebook, Twitter, and 20 other icons are all fully functional and require no registration.
I’m sorry that you think the plugin sucks, but I guess the 11,000 other people with functional versions would have to disagree.
I have no idea why it stops working. It just does. I haven’t had that problem with any other plugins, ever. Yay for the 11k downloads. That doesn’t mean they work. I’m sure loads of people have tried it and had the same problems I have had, they just didn’t bother to say anything. You have 17 ratings. five are less than 5 star. Do the math. Not everyone loves it.
Anytime anyone has ever asked for help, I have offered it at no charge. You seem to have a problem with asking for any so we could possible figure out the issue might be.
Apparently your the expert and I am not, so use it or don’t use it, it’s your choice.
When you flame someone on this site, at least get your facts straight.
