  • We cannot see pages in your site’s admin area. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Have deactivated plugins – no joy
have reset the plugins folder by FTP – still no luck
Tried switching themes – no joy
    Any other suggestions

Try adding define('SCRIPT_DEBUG', true);to the bottom of your wp-config.php file (just before the require_once line).

Sorry – I should have noted that I am using the web based WordPress on Godaddy. I am pretty much a newbie at this and can’t locate the wp-config.php file

It is in your root WordPress folder.

Thanks – found it – added the line and got this message
    D:\hosting\10297547\html\wp-config.php on line 93

    Sorry? What message?

Messed up the insert to wp-config.php and that caused my problem.
I edited wp-config.php again, added the define(‘SCRIPT_DEBUG’, true) line but still no luck. I probably should have let you know that the incident does not take me to a totally blank screen. The screen has a heading “Insert Media” and on the left are four options:
    Insert Media
    Create Gallery
    Set Featured Image
    Insert from URL

other than that there is no content on the page.

Have you tried using another browser? Another computer?

Switched to Chrome – seems to be okay. Darn IE anyway

I do have another question – maybe you can advise me.
Spoke to a tech advisor at Godaddy and he advised me to switch from a Windows based site to a Linux based site. Any comments?

I’d agree with the tech. WordPress is easier to wrangle on a Linux server.

Thanks for all your patience and help

    No problem 🙂
