• Hi,

I recently installed a wordpress backup program located here:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-db-backup/

I have no idea why, but when I activated the plugin, my blog was totally destroyed! My blog is located here: http://www.jack40k.com

I think it changed the groups on my files and now the webserver can’t read it! I don’t even know what that means!? Can someone PLEASE help me fix this problem!!

BTW the CHMOD permissions are fine !

    The error:

    Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    HELP!

  • Honestly, I have no idea of the origin of the prob. You can maybe just try a first thing, just the same way you uploaded your plugin by ftp, connect by ftp and remove the plugin’s files.

Honestly again, I doubt that’ll work, but who knows :/

Well, I’d say that you don’t know whether your blog is really “totally destroyed” — although I hope you’re keeping backups of not only your WP files but your database as well.

I’d be highly surprised if activating a plugin was able to change permissions on files or folders; however, surprising things can happen.

At any rate, I’d try FTPing into your web hosting space and deleting the plugin.
