apologies upfront, in case this is the wrong forum, inappropriate question, incorrect terminology etc…i am new to this.

    question
is there a gpl theme that would convert from go green without too much folk lifting. it does not have to the same looks, just translate without having to do major mods.

    background
long story short. inherited my wp site. the developer installed the go green theme (and before you ask, i did pay him but he does not return my calls). like the look but it keeps falling down after every new wp release. would rather switch to a gpl wp supported (or whatever the correct terminology is). problem the themes i have tried would require a lot of work to re jig the site.

  • In theory, any theme from http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ should be OK. Unless, of course, your current theme has some kind of special functionality that you need to retain in some form.

Thanks. I tried several of the ones one the WP site and they worked, but many things were screwed up, like menus etc.The good news was when I converted back to the original theme everything was as at should be. Perhaps I have to trawl through many until I find once that approximates.

Twenty…seems to be very popular…is this the best or can you recommend another. It is for a technical sales and marketing business.

    Thanks…

The Twenty NN themes have were all developed as the core WordPress default theme – with 2012 being the current default. I wouldn’t say that they were necessarily the best. It really depends upon what you’re looking for.
