Hi,

I just installed your theme pachyderm. I really like it.
As I am a beginner with wordpress: I suppose there is no german translation available of this theme? I could try to create one; can you point me to the right direction on how to do that?

As soon as the translation is done, I will share it with you, if you want to add it to the theme.

It looks like I have yet to create a POT file for Pachyderm… I’ll include one in the next update, but in the meantime, you can read this guide on how to translate WordPress, which shows you how to generate POT files.

From there, your best bet is to Google “translate WordPress theme”, there are a number of how-to articles with different methods. I use POEdit to generate the POT file, personally, but am no expert in creating translations and have not done so before.

Once you have a translation ready I’m happy to add it to the next update.

Hi,
thanks for your answer. The translation doesn’t seem to be very complicated. At the moment I translated part of the theme directly in the php-files.

Waiting for the next update to do the translation of the POT file.

Hi,

I started with the german translation. There seem to be missing more entries especially for content.php, e.g. “Permalink to” or “Continue reading”.

I’ll share my version of the german translation asap.

@sebo.h I think permalink is to be translated in the general wp translate file at wp-content/languages
