Thanks.
I did the Import process as mentioned, but it was not working. It said,
file already exists
and now the files are sharing from the wp.com
.
Now, do I reset my database and try the process again?

file already exists
Which means you’ve already imported it. 😉
What’s the URL of your new self-hosted installation? You may already be working or not, a link would help us volunteers determine that better.
I’ve shared ’em all at the very first question.
It’s http://soothtruthbd.com/
But there is not duplicate image files.
There are 20 pagination in wp.com site, and 15 pagination in my host, in media gallery.
Use a simple plugin like duplicator to transfer your website.
Here’s the link http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/duplicator/

Thanks, but Duplicator plugin is not a solution here for .com
sites migration.

Using my cPanel in wp-content/uploads/
I found all my images. But still the image paths are not unique to soothtruthbd.com/imagefile.jpg
.
Why?
Does the path always be like that? …something example.wordpress.com/path/filename.jpg
?
I found the solution.
The reason why the file paths were like that was because improper import process. Due to my slow connection, the 2nd step of the import process was undone at the very first time. That’s why the file path was shared from the .com
site.
With WordPress Reset plugin I reset my database, and from cPanel
I deleted the contents of the wp-content/uploads
folder, then import the XML file again.
Now everything is solved. All the media paths are from my own domain.

Hi… I also have a site that I created on WP.com, but I need to add a plug-in in order to add an online shopping cart. The current WP.com site does not support javascript for the shopping cart. I need to move my entire site to a WP.com site so I can then install and use plug-ins. I am a total novice at this and even the above info is over my head. I saw somewhere on the WP site that I can pay $99 to have the WP “experts” do it all for me, but now I cannot find where I saw that so I lost. I am hosted by GoDaddy and they told me I have to export my data onto my computer, which I did, then point the DNS to GoDaddy (and that’s where it lost me…..Any help would be appreciated. Thanks SO much !!!
Current site is: http://www.the-dragonfly-farm.com

We can’t help with WordPress.com sites, have you talked to WordPress.com’s support about this?
Correction: I need to move my WP.com site to a WP.org
No, maybe that $99 deal is on the WP.com support part and not the WP.org…. I’ll go back and check. Thanks
