How would you approach this need?

    Hi all, looking for some suggestions on how to meet this need:

    Client wants to have his catering customers be able to order from his WordPress site; for example:

    20 chicken dinners @ $8.50
    15 salmon dinners @ $9.50

    The idea would be that the customer could set up their banquet and pay a deposit via credit card.

    Would you use an ecommerce plugin for that? If so, is there one that might be better than the others?

    Or could Gravity Forms do it? Another approach?

    I’d think about a full e-commerce plugin if there’s a lot of options. If there’s only a few I’d go for Gravity Forms. However I don’t know that either one of them will take deposits. As far as I know both systems would have the full charges set up for payment. There’s probably some way of hacking around that though.
