The login/registration is working now, but the page doesn’t refresh to show them that they are logged in/logged out. I’m lost on this.

I just registered a dummy account, the registration process went through just fine, but when I actually tried to login, I entered in all of my information, and hit “Log In” and the page never refreshed. when I manually refreshed the page, it showed I had logged in. The same happens when you log out.

    IE just plain errors out

    Please help

You cannot successfully run WordPress via a masked forwarded domain. You need to update the name servers for the domain name to point to http://www.midwestsoccer.net/360bolton/ then, once those changes have fully propagated, change the site urls in WordPress. See Changing_The_Site_URL for details of how to do this.

I would assume I do that through godaddy then?

For the name server changes? Yes.

sorry, this is all new to me. I went to godaddy, and under forwarding/masking it says:

To forward or mask your domain name, you must use our nameservers.

So how do I get the nameservers pointed to http://www.midwestsoccer.net/360bolton/

You need to ask Godaddy for assistance with this.

    ok, thx

    antonio,

Judging from how the site is working right now, it looks like you got this setup properly. For the benefit of others who may find this, I thought I should detail the ideal solution.

As esmi mentioned, you don’t want to use forwarding/masking for WordPress.

The right thing to do is setup your desired domain as the actual hosted domain for WordPress. There are a couple steps needed to make this work.

First, you should get the desired domain name setup as a hosted domain (instead of a forwarded domain). To do this, you assign it to the hosting account as an aliased domain. Step-by-step instructions are here: http://x.co/tTYt

Once that’s done, change the Home and WordPress URL settings in WordPress (these are in the Settings–General section). If you’re not able to access the admin panel at all, there are a couple ways to fix them. WordPress has a help file that includes info on how to do that – http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

    Hope this was helpful.

    Alon
