The width of the entire comment area is too wide on my blog.

I’m trying to use a child theme to modify this, so I’m just wondering what code can I use in the style.css to modify the whole comment area, not just the comment form…
Thank you!

might be caused by one of the validation errors:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Ftraveltransmissions.com%2Fblog%2F2013%2F02%2Ftravel-photo-roulette-round-54-lost-in-thought%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0
http://codex.wordpress.org/Validating_a_Website
as long as these (or most of these) errors exist, there in not much use to lok for a formatting solution.
I’m not discouraged by this because I found some code to modify the comment input field in the style.css and it worked.
However I’m trying to change the entire comments area, I think what is called by wp_list_comments
Sorry my knowledge of WP is so limited, but any suggestions would be happily received!
