    example: http://ecoki.com/

Basically I noticed how the example site was able to condense their blog posts into segments towards the bottom of the page with pictures and a short summary. Can someone give me some suggestions or direct me towards a source that could help me do this?

    Thanks for your time.

  • These are called excerpts…some themes let you you set a few recent posts as full posts then the rest as excerpts (some can set all as excerpts or full posts – there is a field that is in the post editor when all fields are shown also that lets so set the excerpt content…this can reduce page load time for busy sites, but requires attention to what also is being loaded in excerpts, for example, 50 images will load slow on shared hosting, but 50 excerpts that are only text will be much faster…then again 50 images from a cloud server may load fast to customers with hi-speed connections…

You can dig around and find out more about how to customize the excerpt and increase site performance…

    Thanks again Seacoast!

That’s exactly what I needed to know.
