    Hello,

    I set up a wordpress multisite to run a charity campaign with 24 different chapters. the multisite is set to use sub-directories for each campaign as to keep consistency with the template and to use the same features. the main site (site ID=1) works flawlessly.

    so here’s my problem… I have no access to modify the widgets in sub-directory accounts. the setup went well, i was able to set up each sub-directory, but when i go to one of the sub-directory dashboards to edit the site, everything works fine except the widgets page. the ‘available widgets’ display, but the right sidebar where you add the widgets to are no longer appearing. see the link to the screen shot below.

    the site is 5days.ca. also see 5days.ca/mcgill to see what i mean about the sidebar issue.

    any help is greatly appreciated!
    thanks

    Does this happen with every theme? Like did you try the default TwentyEleven or TwentyTwelve theme?

    ok problem solved… there was a plugin that was causing the issue. bah

    oh sorry… it’s Rev Slider

    FYI: Installed Google-libraries – problem fixed. Can now slide widgets.
    Previously was unable to select, drag and install widgets.
    Using WP 3.5.1 and Avada Theme. Browser is Google Chrome

    i figured it out what it was about the rev slider it was in conflict with running widgets on wordpress multisite so if you guys still want it to work for you and make use of its other awesome features then do this…

    Go in to revslider.php and removed these 2 lines you can do this right in your hosting account or use FTP…

    require_once $currentFolder . ‘/inc_php/revslider_widget.class.php’;

    //register the kb slider widget
    UniteFunctionsWPRev::registerWidget(“RevSlider_Widget”);

    Now Save the file & don’t forget to deactivate the plugin then re-enable it and update your NETWORK !!!

    And walla it works, i was not going to use it other then just run sliders on pages, personally was not using the widgets options so that’s a fix!

    I tested it and it works on all my sites even new sites added.

    Running WP 3.6
