RSS feed does not work

I added feed.xml to the root of my blog site, http://www.bododiehn.net/hello-world
I added the link http://www.bododiehn.net/feed.xml in “RSS” of the Primary Widget Area, telling it to show 10 items with content, author and date.
Here’s feed.xml which btw was validated as ok by feedvalidator.com :

But when I fire up Google Reader and subscribe, “Food for Thought has no items” comes up. I do in fact have several items on the blog site, as you’ll be able to see.

I am stymied.
