• Hello,

I’m very excited to see NS Cloner plugin because it helps us lot.

I’ve tested migration with the plugin on my Japanese site.
Unfortunately, all letters in post/page contents turns into “?” characters.
On the other hand, characters in menus and widgets are migrated correctly.

Other migration looks perfect, so I hope this problem is solved.

I can send you our login information directly if necessary.

    Thanks,
    Isao

This sounds very strange, and we wish we had more experience working with other language encodings to be able to troubleshoot quickly. We’ve asked if this member might have any ideas on this thread:

Other than that we are kind of at a loss as we have not worked with Japanese character encodings in the past. Have you seen anything like this before with other plugins?

Until we can figure out a better solution, one work-around might be to clone the site which will copy all the plugin settings / theme settings / etc. And then to handle all the “?” contents in posts / pages, just run a normal WP XML export from the first site and import into the second site.

Let us know if you can think of anything else that would help. Thanks!
