Insert from Media Library does not get inserted in post/page

    I am almost sure that this started after my upgrade to WordPress 3.5.

    I am prevented from inserting any media in a post or page, just nothing is added in the post/page, either in HTML or Visual.mode. I can switch from Visual to HTML (using WP-Editor or WYSIWYG Foliopress). Also tried the native editor.

    But no media in !! …. have not seen it on my other sites … using the same WP version and Browsers. (Firefox, Chrom, Explorer).

    This looks like Visual Tab not working but I do not have the editor problem.

    Any suggestions?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Great …. W3 Total Cache

    The first step this time solved it!! It did deactivate some Plugins before but no dice. Now I find “FV WordPress Flowplayer” (a backlevel I needed to use) is the root of the problem.
    Perhaps I did not see that before because of the combination with “W3 Total Cache”.

    I have replaced “FV WordPress Flowplayer” and now all is back to normal. Interestingly this was a plugin I did not touch for ages….
