Auto Page Excerpts

    Hi all,

    I know WordPress automatically grabs the first 55 words for an excerpt if you haven’t added one to your post but does it also generate this for pages? (I’m trying to call them words)

    I use excerpts for meta descriptions on posts but my pages are showing (…) in the meta description..

    I can activate manual page excerpts via functions but I need them auto generated like posts, if possible.
