Support » Fixing WordPress » plugin conflict… what to do

  • i installed “sponsor flip wall” and spent a lot of time making it look nice etc (on localhost, not online yet).

then when i am done i see that on the front page the slider does not work… when i deactivated the plugin, then it did. so there is a conflict between the theme (itheme2) and that plugin.

i am really happy with the plugin and it took me a long time finding one that served me… so i dont just want to trash it.

is there some kind of hack you can do when there is a conflict because of a plugin?

  • I would recommend asking the folks at themify to see if they have ever encountered this. If you bought their theme, they might be able to provide support for it and they might have even encountered it.

Having said that, the WP Sponsor Flip Wall plugin hasn’t been updated since 2011, so it might contain deprecated code….

I’m not sure that there’s an easy way to fix this. There’s probably a way to find the conflict and fix the bug, but I’m not sure what the fix is exactly.
