• I have one widget_on_pages instance, being used on one page. Later, I changed the site theme. The widget_on_pages instance still shows up on the page, but under Appearance –> Widgets, the code for that widget no longer shows up.

I’d like to recover that actual widget code. Might it be in the database, and if so, where might I look?

The single instance of widgets_on_pages in Appearance –> Widgets now says only this: #1 Widgets on Pages sidebar. Use shortcode “[widgets_on_pages]”

    Hey there,

Again, someone seems to have found a new and interesting behaviour.

It looks like that for some reason the Widgets on Pages database options are not being read (perhaps they’ve been removed) but the saved Sidebar is still there.

Could you let me know which 2 themes you switched between and also what shortcode you are using to display the widgets?

    Thanks,
    Todd

Hi Todd. I switched from Clear Line to Canvas. Page where this is occurring: http://conservationdistrict.org/how/library

There are two widgets on that page. The top widget (search box) shortcode is [widgets_on_pages id="Get Documents - File Search Box"]

The bottom widget that shows file folders is the first one I implemented, and the shortcode is simply [widgets_on_pages]

Thanks… can you confirm which one is not appearing in the widgets admin page?

I’ve posted a few screenshots to http://s357.beta.photobucket.com/user/bitsaphotos/library/System%20screenshots. It’s not that any of them are missing. Rather, I’d like to recover the code for the one referred to by [widgets_on_pages] rather than rebuild it. Where can I look in the database (and for what) to find how I coded that one?
