  • Same issue — hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Same issue here – on more than one blog.

This is not a plugin issue – it’s an issue with the WordPress plugin repository. Hopefully it will be resolved. In the meantime you could try to manually install the newest version by downloading it, deleting the old plugin, and then installing the new one via upload instead of through the “regular” method of updating. If you try that please let us know if it works.

Oddly though, I was able to 1-click update 4 other plugins on my sites without this issue. It only affected the pinterest rss widget update. Thanks for replying, bkmacdaddy!

Actually, I don’t think it IS a WP plugin repository problem. I downloaded the “new” 2.2 update and unzipped it and the header still says it’s Version 2.01 in the pinterest-rss-widget.php file.

So you need to upload the correct version, or update your header. I can’t locate any differences in the files looking at them, so it looks like the newest version just didn’t update.

Thank you – we love this plugin but need the update, as the shortcode and php code you’ve provided don’t work with WP 3.5. 🙂

I downloaded the zip file and found the same issue as Karen – file header says 2.01.

Yes, you are correct, Karen Lewis and daymobrew. Somehow the SVN submission of the updated plugin to the repository got into a weird loop and the correct version did not get uploaded.

I’ve just uploaded a newer version to bypass this problem (and double-checked to make sure the header matches), so please download/update to version 2.2.1 and let me know if it resolves your problems with the plugin.

    Update works fine now. Thanks!

Update works fine for me too. Thanks.

I updated the plugin to the latest version but it still returns the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_Error::set_timeout() in /membri/nontuttisannoche/blog/wp-content/plugins/pinterest-rss-widget/pinterest-rss-widget.php on line 61
    Thanks
