• I re-open a topic incomprehensibly closed, more or less:

I tried to delete some spammer subscribers. After clicking every post to which they are subscribed & then clicking the button to remove them, nothing happened. Is there some ways to remove them as subscribers? Or block them if you don’t want them subscribing?

    Please give a sign.

  • I am unsure why it does not work for you – with my theme it’s working fine on WordPress 3.5.

What I would suggest in your case is to manually unsubscribe them from the database. Go to your PhpMyAdmin and go to manage the wp_comments table. You will see that the last column is called “comment_subscribe” and it has possible values “N” and “Y”. You are interested in the users which are marked with “Y”.

Thank you philippe. Solved by removing them from the front-end. From front-end (in plain HTML) works, from back-end doesn’t.
Anyway, isn’t a good system because I had to do it one by one. It should be possible delete them in bulk because those were all spammers.
