• I’m having a problem reducing the amount of white space in the Twenty Twelve theme.

I created a child theme folder and have made changes to things like font sizes Etc with no problems, but when it comes to reducing the overall amount of white space in the theme, mainly the space above each blog entry title and also the main and right widget column margins I’m having issues.

Ideally I’m looking to get the right column down to around 20% of its current width, to around 180 px, and also increase the main column width accordingly and also reduce the margin widths between the main column and right column.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks esmi, this is a really useful tool.

I fixed a couple of things I was meaning to get to at some point already, but having some issues with reducing that white space between the post titles on the front page.

I’ll post the URL if I can’t get it fixed.

CSS virgin here – I did my first ever css about 5 minutes ago, to move the Twenty Twelve sidebar to the left. (Rotten that they took away the Theme Options that used to do this with one click in Twenty Eleven!)

So my next problem is like paulwclark’s, but I want to reduce the vertical white space in the widget area. There are giant white gaps between RECENT POSTS and its list of posts, between ARCHIVES and its list of archives, between CATEGORIES and its list of categories. Looks stupid, like they are almost not related.

What code would I change in style.css to make these gaps small please?

Can I rotate images on my front/home page instead of having several smaller image? Also, how do I reduce the amount of white space between the top navigation bar and the text just above the images?

    Thank you!
