• OK so I managed to upgrade (ie double the cost) of my hosting and get the darn thing installed. I know enough HTML to have put together a website, I really thought that I’d cope with this. NOT. I’m an artist not a programmer. I wanted to talk about anatomy and tonal values and painting. Not spend a year figuring out how to make this thing look a bit like my website – yeah I care about what things look like. Something to do with the paint.

So what now? Give up, I guess.

  • If the website is the one linked to your profile here – it wouldn’t be difficult to find a theme that is relatively close to it and tweak a bit to look like your existing website.
The main difference is that WP (like all the newer websites) separates completely the (X)HTML code and the CSS: no inline styles as in your site, but everything is in the stylesheet.
Otherwise, if you already understand the basics of HTML and CSS – it shouldn’t be that difficult.

Is there any specific question we could help with?

    Moshu –

I just wanted to say what GREAT customer service! And for free. Thanks for your willingness to help and assist us struggling WP folks.

    Hi.

Let’s say I’m using a theme with a navigation bar. How might I add tabs (linked to pages) to the bar and alter the tabs that were there by default?

Also, how might I make the content below the header a bit lower and put in a flash element between?

I know, I’m ambitious for someone that hasn’t used HTML since 2.0, but some help would be amazing, if anyone were willing.
