Where does the .xml file actually go on the server?

    I was curious to manually load via FTP the dummy content through my FTP client onto my server where 3.5 is installed. Does anyone know where exactly I can “manually” load this dummy content .xml file should be placed on the server in WordPress 3.5? I say that because I’m not able to import images and media but everything else through the admin wordpress importer. I just want to do it manually… Thanks!
