I’m sure this is a stupidly simple solution, but darned if I can figure it out.

When I enter the dashboard it looks like this.

I was using Chrome first – regular site looked good – as soon as I switched to the Dashboard it looked like this. If I click on one of the links (Add New Page/Post) the Dashboard looks normal. If I switch to any of the other sidebar items it goes back to this funky look.

The screen shot is from Firefox. Interestingly Safari has NO PROBLEM.

Running MAMP w/ fresh install of WP – install goes OK – with no problems. Like I said, in Safari – everything is OK

I’m sure I’m missing some configuration setting somewhere???

    Thanks for any ideas.

    John

PS – Oh Yeah, I did a fresh install of Chrome – still same thing.

Well, I think I resolved the issue.

I rebooted my iMac. When I logged back into “localhost” and went to the admin panel, the problem was still there. I refreshed the page a couple of times (I had done that before to no avail) and, suddenly, everything started working again.

    Go figure.

Maybe I’ll learn enough in the future to be able to figure out what’s going on. Clearly it was a Chrome/Firefox issue – so maybe that will be a help. Just wasn’t reading the config files properly – who the heck knows.
