    I am just wondering what the easiest way of adding a check box to disable comments on individual pages is?

    I know I can brute force dissabling comments on all pages by going into the page.php and commenting out/deleting the line 25

    comments_template();

    But there has to be a smarter way to do this, whereby it can be activated if needed?

    Thanks,
    M

    Never mind, I have resolved this now,

    it turns out I didn’t have the discussion checkbox ticked in screen options in the page
    edit window …

    Another solution is to try No Page Comment, which will remove the hassle of remembering to turn off comments on new pages.

    It also has a feature where you can remove comments from all current pages with the click of a button, but it will do it on ALL pages and cannot be undone, so use it wisely. 🙂
