internal links not working

    Hello ,

    My internal links were working fine using WP 3.4.2. then suddenly some of
    them stopped working and then in a few days all have stopped working.
    i have tried clearing cache,changing permalinks to default , renaming htaaccess , upgrading to 3.5 , but
    the error : page requested could not be found.

    I generally read a lot and get the bug resolved on my own, but this one
    is just not going.
    Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    hi Esmi,
    thank you for the helpful guidance.

    i have done all the first 3 solutions but it did not work out.
    the last one : which is reuploading all files and folders – i am a bit newbie for such stuff as i dont want to delete some essential files and lose SEO and other work worth 4 months ( site is still new).
    As per your solution , i should DELETE ALL files inside the public_html folder EXCEPT wp_content ?

    i renamed the public_html folder so that i could start the process of uploading the new wo install and now all is gone !!!

    look at the message i get on my home page of my site : http://www.tutor-maths.com

    i cant acess my wp – admin also. all gone !!

    i knew if i tinker as a newbie something bad can happen.
    what do i do now ?
