I’m using the “Unsigned” theme from Woothemes. I need to be able to have specific widgets for specific pages. Will DW work with Unsigned?

I’m about to rebuild a client’s site in a new WordPress install, and want to be sure I don’t encounter issues that would delay the site going live.

I’ve installed DW, but want to be sure it’s safe to Activate it.

    Thanks in advance.

There is only one way to find out I think: Test it out. I have no reasons to believe it wouldn’t work nor received remarks that it doesn’t work on this theme.

    Hi Qurl,

Well, it almost works the way I want. In the DW settings, I went to the “Pages” setting to limit the widget to one page. However, it’s not “seeing” my Blog page. The Blog page is not showing in the list of what pages to exclude the widget from. Why isn’t it seeing my Blog page. Is it because I’m using the “blog” template for the Blog page?

Are you using a static front page? If so, did you set the posts page in the WP settings? It might also be detected as “Front page” by Dynamic Widgets.

No, it properly sees the “Home” page as the Front page in the DW settings.

In WP settings I have “Posts” set to the Blog page. Which I did to eliminate the Comment fields on every page, which still appear despite this setting.

Ah yes, then DW uses “Posts Page” for that.

You probably need to comment out or remove the Comment field in the template.
