• A user on my blog gets this message when he tries to post a comment:

    <start clip>

    Not Acceptable!
    An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.

    <end clip>

    Other people have been able to comment on other posts. I’ve emailed my host to see whether it can whitelist this particular commenter’s IP address. I’ve also whitelisted his IP on Cloudflare, and disabled the BJLazyLoad plug-in, which apparently has some similar issues.

    Is there anything else I should check?

  • Not that I can think of – other than disabling all of your plugins to see if that has any effect. mod_security is usually configured at the server level.

    That’s what I thought.

    Just found out the commenter apparently has been surfing from two different IP addresses (have no idea how). I’ll have them both cleared to see what happens.
