• The black/white thumbnails that “color” on mouseover are awesome.

However, they only seem to be working in Chrome… not Firefox or IE. I tried with both my site and with the Demo site.

Is this intentional? Is there some way we can make this work in the other browsers as well?

    Let me know!

For what it’s worth the B/W also doesn’t work in Safari….

I haven’t opened the files yet as I have never messed with WordPress Themes.

Anyhow let me know if anyone has ideas.

    Thanks!

This is a known issue for now, although the latest version of Safari is working on my Mac — not sure how Windows compares, but Safari for Windows isn’t current. I’m looking into alternative methods for FF and IE. They’ll likely be released in a future update.

FWIW the “color on hover” works in Firefox 17.0.1 on Windows XP !
but the transition is 1px off and look like no fading effect.

The problem with this theme is the font rendering, check it in Windows OS and you would see what I mean.

Can you share what you used to create the effect? Perhaps as a group we can narrow down making the methods work universally and/or other options for the various browsers.

I love the theme and I love the simplicity and style added by the BW effect.

@smorrison137, I’m currently using filter:grayscale which isn’t a supported property in older FF or IE. I’ve found a couple methods that might work for both (FF can use SVG, older IE can use a proprietary property, filter:gray), but the IE one appears to cause issues with load time. I need to do more testing before I commit it. If you find other possibilities, please shoot them my way in this thread!
