Update sidebar via email

    I use sidebar widgets to update random messages on the sidebar of my WordPress-powered blog. Instead of having them as posts, I want the message to be a box on the sidebar. Hence I can’t use xml-rpc or any other means that I can think off. The option I have is access the admin via my mobile phone to add messages.
    This turns out to be quite inconvenient. Any way I can send an email similar to update via email mechanisms so that my sidebar would be updated?
    Would appreciate any help.
