• This plugin works perfectly, and the support is excellent. I probably should give it 5 stars, but I didn’t. The reason is I see so many additional functions which could be added in the future. E.g.:

    – Standard widget is missing. It is possible to display feeds in a widget, but you need a work around.
    – Adjust settings: display date in another way than the standard Y-m-d-format, options to choose how to display the source, excerpt, picture, author. And options to choose how many feeds should be displayed per source.
    – Multiple multiple feeds 😉 I’d like to display five feeds in the sidebar and many, many feeds on a special page. In other words: multiple possibilities to display multiples feeds. I use the RSSImport now in combination with the WP RSS Aggregator. If only the twoo plugins could be combined!

Thanks for the feedback Jan, your suggestions are on the way to be implemented.

Same for me: great plug-in, but would need to go a bit further…
How did you manage to put it in a widget??
I’d need 2 different output on different pages, which cannot be done at present.
    Hoping for further developments!
    Thanks

@giscist: I use RSSImport (for the widget) and RSS Aggregator for feeds in posts (I have one post with about 200 feeds 30 sources – it’s a bit slow, but works fine).

To combine the two, you have to enter the feed sources two times, once in RSSImport and RSS Aggregator. I don’t know of a workaround.

@giscist @janbletz These features are in development 🙂

Thank you both for your answers.
Any idea of deadline for the development?
I’ll throw myself in by the end of the weeK.

There should be an update this week, it will make it possible to do away with RSSImport, more updates later.

    Great! Looking forward to it!

New version is out now 🙂

    Thank you for the information.
I was hoping to get multiple output possibility (eg. output 1 on page 1, output 2 selecting other feeds on another page), but I guess this will be for next time?
I have an issue with the display: even though I state in the settings (specific feed + general) that I want one item per feed, I still get more for some (see http://wp.gis-cist.fr/ left column).
Besides, I get feeds that are very far from the current date (eg. events organised in 2014!). Is there a way to go around this (eg. display item whose date is within a time limit)?

Will do some testing on points 2 and 3, but the point 1 is already possible. You can have different outputs by category, or even by feed sources that you specify.

Check out the extensions we just released:
    http://www.wprssaggregator.com/extensions/

Actually, I found another plug-in in the same style that suits me better, WP RSS Multi-Importer.

If you still want to check out the bug that I specified, please go on so that it can help the community, I’ll deactivate the plugin by the end of September.

Will definitely be dealing with the points you mentioned. Everyone is free to choose their favourite plugin based on their requirements. Last time I checked that plugin’s code it was rather messy and also created a number of PHP warnings when the WP_DEBUG constant is set to true.

    … don’t tell me 😉
