    Hi all,

I am new to wordpress so please forgive me if my question sounds stupid, I am learning slowly.

I have updated a page on my website with an image to the left, content next to it. Then the next section I have content to the left, image to the right. I have lined this up on the visual page as to how I want it to appear. When I click on “Preview’ the images and content are all over the place. Its not like it is in the visual box. Any ideas?

    Cheers

  • The issue is with your theme. If you want the editor to display content the same as on the screen, then the theme you are using must have an editor-style.css. Not all themes have those.

if you use the default themes, Twenty Twelve, Twenty Eleven, both of them have this and so you can see what your posts will look like more accurately.

Thanks for coming back to me. My default is currently 20/11 so tomorrow I will update that.

Nothing else bad will happen if I update those file? Just worried about screwing up all my hard work!

Thanks for the help. Have a great New Years!

Good morning. I have changed my theme editor to display editor-style.css and unfortunately I am still having the same issue. In the visual page, everything is just how I want it to be, yet when I check it on the preview the images and content are still not as in the visual. Any other ideas?

    Good afternoon,

I’ve spent the last 2 hrs trying to work this out. I have changed AND saved my editor-style.css however, when I come back to it, it seems to revert back to the original setting! So annoying.

If anyone can shed any light on this I would be grateful. Thanks in advance.
