Fatal Error

    Dear Plugin Developer,

    the plugin worked fine ony my local installation (WordPress 3.5.) but produced a fatal error on the Web. I’m using 3.4.2 there and run it on a 1and1 hosting. Any Idea?

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION, expecting ‘)’ in /homepages/33/d66834315/htdocs/domains/sozialismus.info/maschinenraum/wp-content/plugins/embed-kindle/embed-kindle.php on line 20

    Could I have which version of PHP running?

    PHP Version : 5.2.17 / 32Bit OS

    Ohh and I changed to WordPress 3.5.1 on my installation but haven’t tested your plugin again. On my local installation. where it works, I’m running PHP Version : 5.3.10 / 32Bit OS

    The plugin is using PHP functions supported on PHP 5.3 or above, and your error seems to tell that the PHP could not find those functions. I assume that the error occurred because you used PHP 5.2 at that time.

    Strange thing is that I implemented PHP version check in the plugin and if you installed it on old PHP, it should stop with error message.

    Anyway, please upgrade your PHP version to 5.3/5.4 then that issue would not happen any more.
